Writing a press release

To learn how to write an effective press release and reach your target audience. Each participant will have a chance to write an article and receive feedback on it. There will also be an opportunity to meet Wesley Acheson from the Con and discuss what makes an attractive press release in his eyes.

Find out how to use the NINIS website and look at small area statistics and deprivation measures, all of which are being updated with 2008 information and which are necessary when completing many funding application forms. Practical PC-based exercises give participants the opportunity to access data on the NINIS website and create area profiles and customised maps. For this reason numbers are limited, so book early.

Spring Sewing At the Ulster-American Folk Park
The
Live and Learn Project
is offering sewing workshops for people aged 50+ throughout May and June. These will take place in the Ulster American Folk Park, exhibition area for “Through the Eye of a Needle.” They will be relaxed, fun and will provide an opportunity to sew.
Tea and biscuits will be provided!
