Omagh Forum for Rural Associations is delighted to announce the launch of Omagh Healthy Living Network, which has received a funding boost of £499,595 thanks to a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund.
Omagh Healthy Living Network will deliver of a range of health promotion programmes across the rural and urban areas of Omagh as well as the roll out of Social Prescribing.
We will be supporting the Omagh District with programmes on;
Mental Health
Food Health
Smoking Cessation
Pain Support
Physical Health
Social Prescribing + other health promotion programmes
The Social Prescriber will take the time to chat to you about how you are feeling and what matters to you – and will explore options in your community to improve your wellbeing and help you plan your next steps.

Rural Basic Services Scheme
Support for investments in the setting up, improvement or expansion of local basic services for the rural population including leisure and culture, and the related infrastructure.
Rural Broadband Scheme
Support for community lead broadband infrastructure, including its creation, improvement and expansion, passive broadband infrastructure and provision of access to broadband and public e-government.
Village Renewal Scheme
Support for drawing up and updating of plans for the development of municipalities and villages in rural areas and their basic services and of protection and management plans relating to Natura 2000 sites and other areas of high nature value.
